General rules for cyclists:
Keep both hands on handle bars except when changing gears or signaling.
Keep both feet on pedals.
Never ride close behind another vehicle.
Be considerate of other road users especially blind and partial sighted pedestrians.
Make them aware of your presence eg by ringing of bell.
Make sure it is safe before moving away from the kerb.
Give a clear signals to road users about your next move.
Be aware of traffic coming behind you.
Be aware of road humps , drains , narrowings etc.
Be careful while overtaking other vehicles.
